Note: Late starters WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Where team members are not present at the start line at the required time, they risk disqualification from the Tour.
All directions of the Referees, Course Marshalls and Commissaires must be adhered to, or risk disqualification from the Tour.
Neutral starts will apply on Stages 1, 2 and 4.
Signs will be displayed both at 1km and 400m from the finish of each stage. Note that, should either or both signs not be displayed, no protest will be allowed on that account.
Corner stewards will display road traffic signs and riders must follow traffic instructions issued by the stewards.
Particular care should be taken at the Yorketown finish on Saturday morning, as it is situated close to a bend in the road.
Note: The distance of the Stage 1 event may be shortened to enable the finish to be conducted on a straight section of road, before the bend in the road approaching Yorketown.
In case of mishap, fall, puncture etc., occurring in the final 200m, time accredited to the affected riders will be equivalent to the slowest rider in the sprinting bunch.
Under no circumstances is a team rider to start in the next stage unless they have completed the previous stage.
"Team Reserves" participating in the Individual Graded Series, may be withdrawn at any time from the Individual Series to replace an injured or ill member of your team. Approval for replacement of a team member with a reserve must be approved by the First Aid Officer on duty, and/or the Tour Chief Referee.
Please note:
Should four members of your team fail to complete all four stages of the tour, you will not be eligible for the General Classification prize pool. Where a team member starts a race, and then suffers an injury as a result of an accident or becomes ill, NO COMPENSATION will be given concerning eligibility for General Classification prizemoney where that team member fails to complete their last stage. You may call up your Graded Reserve at any time, and any stage wins or places they have achieved to that point in the tour will be retained, and not forfeited.
Normal Rules of Racing will apply, with the following additions:
Care must be taken at all times. The safety of other riders is paramount, and where dangerous riding is considered to have been undertaken, this may lead to automatic disqualification, or time penalties being applied.
No following cars allowed. Neutral Service Vehicle (Van) to be provided by VLCC and will carry each teams’ replacement wheels (up to 3 per team). Spare wheels from each team must be clearly marked, so that they are identified easily.

Neutral service vehicle (van) for each division will remain at the back of the main peloton at all times.
Team members may only change wheels during the race in the event of punctures or mechanical trouble. No bike changes will be allowed. Team members may interchange bikes with each other, if it is in their best interests to do so (given that the times of the 5th and 6th rider of each stage does not count towards a team’s aggregated time for each stage).
No assistance is to be given from any moving vehicle.
Riders who are separated from their division must not ride with those of another Teams division, or individual Grade competing in the Tour.
Tour conducted under the AVCC rulebook.
Current AVCC licence must be held and be produced to obtain a number in the tour.
