2011/12 Intermediate Teams - Rules and conditions of entry.

 Age & Ability Levels:

 -

-

Intermediate Team members have ability levels of B Grade riders or below. 

Minimum age requirement - 35th year.

Note:  Team Captains should be mindful of final team selection as where members are considered to be A Graders, or bordering on A grade ability, Team Captains will be asked to review their teams for resubmission, or face the risk of being promoted to the Elite Teams Division.

 Team Registration fees:

$625 per team, due and payable by 9pm on 22 September, 2011

Late registrations not permitted.

Names of full team squad must be provided by no later than 9pm on 22 September 2011.

 Payment of Registration fees:

Online, via VLCC Member login area of website (VLCC Members only)

No team will be allowed to race in Series until such time as team registration fee has been made in full.

 Team Uniforms: 

-

Riders must wear full team clothing (jersey and knicks)

 Team Member rules: 

-

Maximum number riders per team for the series – Eight (8)

-

No addition to teams once series has started

-

Team members cannot change teams once the Series has commenced.

-

Each team can start up to 5 riders in an event.

-

All team members must sign on prior to competing.
(Note:  Sign on will represent acceptance by team member of the terms and conditions applying to the Series)

 Licensing: 

-

All team members will hold a current AVCC licence when competing.

-

Series conducted under the AVCC rulebook

-

Fines and/or penalties may apply for non-compliance.

 No and types of races (per Series): 

-

10 Criterium races (held at Victoria and Regency Parks)
(Duration of event – approximately 45 minutes plus 2 laps)

 Night of Event:   

-

Racing commences at 6:00 pm
(All team members must be registered for the event by 5.45pm)

-

If required, Team Managers’ meeting will be held at 5.50pm prior to the event commencing.

-

-

-

Late starters will not be tolerated. 

Any team members who miss the start will have to chase the main bunch after presenting at the line and putting one foot on the start/finish line. 

Joining on the next lap will not be permitted.

-

Lapped riders will be automatically removed from the event and will not receive finish points.

-

Two (2) laps out for a puncture or fall is permitted.
Two (2) laps out rule does not apply to adjustments.
Team members must present to the start/finish line and must follow instructions of Race Referee. 
Wheel changes are allowed.
Fines and/or penalties may apply where abuse of this rule is deemed to have occurred.

-

No laps out will be permitted for any reason within 10mins of race finishing

-

All directions of marshals and referees to be adhered to.  Non-compliance may lead to disqualification or loss of points.

-

If another grade is on their bell lap, the referee will intervene by displaying a red flag at the start/finish line.

Whilst a red flag is displayed, racing will become “neurtralised” and all competitors must maintain their current position, as well as slow to a reasonable speed.

-

Care must be taken when overtaking slower riders.
Ample room must be allowed for safety reasons.
Fines and/or penalties may apply for non-compliance.

 Claims: 

-

First 10 places must be claimed with the Claims Steward, immediately after completion of the event.

-

Team captains must advise the race promoter (within 10 minutes of their event finishing) of the number of team members who completed the race to claim finishing points.

 Allocation of Points – Per Event:

Criterium Points– per event
1st – 20; 2nd – 19; 3rd - 18; 4th - 17; 5th - 16; 6th - 15; 7th - 14; 8th - 13; 9th - 12; 10th – 11

Finishing Points – per event

Any team member completing the event will receive 10 points.
No late claims accepted.

 Prizemoney (at end of night’s racing): 

-

Prize money will be distributed at the completion of racing, and once all results have been verified.

-

A Preme Sprint prize will be awarded at each race of the series

-

Details re prizemoney to be released at a later time.

 Prizemoney – End of Season: 

-

Prize Money is subject to change, and will comprise the following after taking into account the costs incurred by the VLCC to manage the Series:

 Nomination fees
Sponsorship received

 Full details of the 2011/12-prizemoney allocations to be provided later. 

 Trophies:  End of Season: 

-

To each registered team member of the Winning team (maximum of 8 trophies).
To the sponsor of the Winning team.

-

To the Winner of the Individual Series.

 Results: 

-

Weekly and “Series to date” results will be published on the VLCC Website.

 Disputes: 

-

$50 fee applies

-

Notice of intention to lodge a complaint must be advised to Race Director within 30 minutes of event finishing.  $50 fee must accompany notice of intention to lodge a complaint.

-

Race Director must receive full notice of dispute by 9pm on the Friday night immediately after the event (i.e., allowing approximately 48 hours to lodge your complaint).

Hearings 

Complaint hearings will be heard by the VLCC Teams Adjudication Panel which comprises 5 members (any combination made up of riders/officials and volunteers) 

Decision of Hearing Committee can be subject to Appeal.

Appeals  

Appeals must be lodged within seven (7) days and will be heard by the VLCC Appeals Committee comprising 5 independent members (any combination made up of riders/officials and volunteers).

 Where appeal is successful, $50.00 fee refunded. 

Decision of the Appeals Committee is final.
