Licences to compete are issued by the South Australian Veteran Cycling Association, a division of the Australian Veteran Cycling Council (AVCC). 

Once you hold an SAVCC licence, you can compete in any event held by a Cycling Club affiliated with the Australian Veteran Cycling Council, as well as compete in the annual Classic Adelaide Veterans Series, held during the same week as the Tour Down Under.

Cycling Australia members wishing to compete in AVCC sanctioned events are required to take out a licence.
